Kanna Botana ("Kanna Botana," "we," "us") makes small-batch soap and body care in Southern California. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit kannabotana.com or shop.kannabotana.com (together, the "Site"), buy from us, join our email list, or contact us, and how we use and share it.

Information you give us

  • Orders: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, and the products you buy. Payment card details are entered on Shopify's secure checkout and processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Accounts: if you create a customer account, your name, email, addresses and order history.
  • Email list: the email address you submit to receive news and offers.
  • Reviews: your name, rating, review text and any photos you choose to submit.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email, including wholesale inquiries.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser details, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, products viewed or added to your bag, how you reached the Site, and similar usage data. We collect this through cookies, pixels and similar technologies described below.

How we use your information

  • To process, ship and support your orders, including damaged items and other order questions.
  • To run customer accounts and remember your bag.
  • To send order confirmations and shipping updates.

  • Email marketing tools (Shopify Messaging, Seguno and SmartrMail) send our newsletters and offers to subscribers.
  • Payment wallets such as Google Pay and Shop Pay, when you choose them at checkout.
  • Ryviu collects and displays product reviews.
  • Dext Commerce receives order and sales records for bookkeeping.
  • Faire processes wholesale orders from retailers.
  • Shipping carriers receive your name and address to deliver your order.
  • Website hosting providers that serve the Site and keep standard server logs.

We may also disclose information to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

Cookies and tracking

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep your bag and checkout working, remember your preferences, and measure Site performance. Some of this data goes to analytics and advertising partners, such as Google and Pinterest.
